Course Offering Description
This online, self-study course is designed to assist individuals who are registered and scheduled to write the API 1169 Pipeline Inspector Certification examination. You will have access for 120 days from the time of your registration.
This course consists of approximately 60 hours of study time. (This will vary by individual.) Registrants in this course will be supported by email and phone by the instructor from the day of their registration until the last day of this exam window.
To access the documents available for download with this course, select “My Account” once you are logged into the Kinetic Inspection & Testing website, then select “Online Training”. You will see the available documents listed under your online course.
Course registrants MUST obtain a copy of API 1169 in order to successfully study the materials in this course and prepare for the examination.
Course registrants will benefit from obtaining a copy of the following documents, but they are not essential to success:
- API 1110 Recommended Practice for the Pressure Testing of Steel Pipelines for the Transportation of Gas, Petroleum Gas, Hazardous Liquids, Highly Volatile Liquids, Highly Volatile Liquids, or Carbon Dioxide
- API 1104 Welding of Pipelines and Related Facilities
- API Specification Q1 – Specification for Quality Management System Requirements for Manufacturing Organizations for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry
Significant effort has been made to include much of the information from these documents in the course materials. Many individuals choose not to purchase these and are successful in writing the examination.
